We are a small Morris side based in the West Sussex village of Thakeham (about 2 miles north of Storrington). We practice the Cotswold style of Morris Dancing (what we dance live is another matter), augmented with a few dances from the Thakeham tradition.
We have regular practice sessions over the winter period (usually October to May), meeting most Wednesdays in Thakeham Village Hall at about 8pm. Our season usually starts on the 1st of May (dancing on the South Downs). We usually dance out about 15 times over the summer, finishing around the end of August.
We are always on the look out for new members, either as dancers or musicians. So if you are keen on keeping an old tradition alive, fancy following the latest trend in "keep fit", or just want to try something different. Please get in touch.
